Pearson eCollege Announces Release of Enterprise Reporting Enhancement

Pearson eCollege recently released an enhancement to Enterprise Reporting, the evolution of Pearson eCollege’s academic analysis suite.The enhancement provides users with scheduled reports of comparative course and program data.

Enterprise Reporting puts data at your fingertips, allowing users to monitor course progress and student activity. The data provided by Enterprise Reporting can be used to establish benchmarks for the success of your institution. Enterprise Reporting also provides powerful tools for monitoring and analyzing performance indicators, like student activity, allowing you to quickly provide students with just in time support.

The recent enhancement release allows reports to run on a recurring schedule and automatically save to a secured folder. The report output can be transferred directly to your institution’s student information system (SIS). For example, a weekly report could be established to send student grade information to your SIS, saving administrators valuable time and providing information for rich academic insights that can improve student success.

Enterprise Reporting includes the following functionality.

• Creation of the eCollege Data Warehouse (ERDW) including:
  1. User Data: demographic information and extended user properties
  2. Enrollments: node and course
  3. User Activity: activity minutes and submission counts
  4. Grades: detailed grade information
• Integrates with Cognos 8.3
• Create and execute custom reports on the fly
• Examine student and instructor activity, grades, enrollments and completion rates with 10 standard reports
• View an at-a-glance breakdown of student and instructor participation in active terms with the At-Risk Activity Dashboard
• Export reports to Excel, PDF, XML or HTML
