•Maintain resources for faculty through manuals, teaching tips, student orientations, and postings that allow for self teachings;

This role is for a senior analyst, with a concentration towards creating holistic dashboards for senior IT management. SUMMARY
The Software Engineer II – Enterprise Reporting position will have practical experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise class Reporting/Data Warehouse environments and will be an integral part of the eCollege Enterprise Reporting team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Assists in complex enterprise data warehousing and reporting product design activities which may require extensive research and analysis
•Implements and maintains multiple highly complex enterprise reporting and data warehouse products
•Completes projects on time and according to software specifications
•Assists in product architecture
•Writes code (programming statements) using various programming languages in an agile development environment
•Design and model Cognos metadata models.
•Writes documentation to explain what the code does to use as a reference in production cycle, document changes, fixes, and codes
•Conducts unit testing and integration testing on data warehouse systems
•Analyzes old and current code for problem resolution
•Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred. Minimum five (5) years of technical experience and three (3) years developing Data Warehousing and/or Enterprise Reporting systems.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
•Experience with Software Engineering and Agile Development Methodologies
•Hands-on experience with Server, Database and Network administration concepts
•Proven experience implementing and supporting large scale operational reporting and/or Data Warehouse environments
•Experience with Cognos 8.3 or 8.4
•Mastery of Relational Database Design Concepts including Keys, Relationships, Normalization, Referential Integrity, and Constraints
•Knowledge of Star Schema/dimensional modeling and data warehouse methodology
•Demonstrated Hands-on T-SQL Programming Skills
•Solid Understanding of ETL Programming Techniques using Microsoft DTS/Integration Services or other data transformation technologies
•Database Tuning and optimization techniques like indexing, denormalization, and physical database layout
•Solid understanding of SQL Server 2005
•Experience supporting one or more Reporting Suites such as Cognos, Microsoft Reporting Services, Proclarity, etc.
•Experience with OLAP, multidimensional data modeling and MDX a plus
•Experience with object oriented analysis and design, Microsoft .Net Framework, ASP .Net, ADO .Net, C# and other various programming languages

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred and over eight (8) years experience developing Data Warehousing and/or Enterprise Reporting applications and five (5) years experience with software design and architecture; or equivalent education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Expert experience or knowledge required in the following:

Summary:
